Lata Mangeshkar was also known as Nightingale of India for her melodious voice and she had won various awards for her unforgettable contribution to the film industry.
Career of Lata Mangeshkar
She started her career with Marathi films. Her voice was rejected in her starting career as her voice was too thin but after some time she gave a series of successful songs. She won Filmfare Award for the song "Aaja Re Pardesi" from the film Madhumati. Her song "Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya" from Mughal-e-Azam is liked by people even today. She has also sung bhajans including "Allah Tero Naam" and "Prabhu Tero Naam". She had recorded with various music directors like Nadeem-Shravan, Jatin Lalit, Anu Malik, Aadesh Shrivastava, and A. R. Rahman. The singer took her last breath on February 6, 2022. She was hospitalized since January 8 as she was found COVID positive and due to complications of Pneumonia.
