Career of Lil Kleine

He entered the entertainment industry with acting in 2005 in the film "Diep." He started performing D-Men on stage to start his music career. His debut EP "Tuig van de Richel" was released by him in 2012 after adopting the stage name "Lil' Kleine." His collaboration with rapper Ronnie Flex for the song "Drank and Drug" earned him massive popularity as the song peaked at number on the Single Top 100 and was certified double platinum. His first album 'WOP!" was also well received. He released further albums Alleen, Jongen van de Straat and Ibiza Stories which made him a well-known name in the music industry.

Again in February 2022, the rapper came into the news headlines when he was sentenced to 120 hours of community service for assaulting a man in a nightclub three years before. Just two days after his sentence, CCTV footage amazed fans when he was seen assaulting Vaes by pulling her out of the car by her hair and pushing the car door against her several times. After which he was re-arrested on March 1 and was released on bail on March 15. Following the incident, his wax figure was removed from display in Madame Tussauds Amsterdam. Also, his music was removed from the Spotify playlist and Sony Music stopped working with him. Vaes ended the relationship with him and announced that she is pressing charges against him.
