Melora Hardin started her acting career playing Sheila in television series Police Story in 1976 for the episodes The Jar: Parts 1 & 2. The following year she had her first main role in series Thunder as Cindy Prescott. Her first movie was 'The North Avenue Irregulars' released in 1979, in which she played Carmel. She is recognized widely for her role Jan Levinson on American sitcom The Office and Trudy Monk on TV series Monk.
