She started her career with a Nepali movie Pheri Bhetaula. She made her Hindi film debut with the film Saudagar. Her performance was appreciated in the film Bombay. She had a starring role opposite Aamir Khan in the film Akele Hum Akele Tum. She worked with Kajol and Bobby Deol in the thriller Gupt: The Hidden Truth. She had a starring role in Kuchhe Dhaage.
