American actress and writer Kristina Anapau was born in Hawaii, the US on October 30, 1979. Her father was a scientist and her mother was an artist and collector. She was a student of the University of Hawaii and also have a Bachelor of Science degree from Skidmore College in New York.

When she was 16, she does not want to be an actress but a talent agent encourage her for an audition for Universal Television film Escape from Atlantis which was filming in Hawaii. When she was acting in this made for television film she changes her mind and relocates to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. In 1997, she started her career with the role of Katrina in the TV film 'Escape from Atlantis' and she appeared in 'General Hospital' as Nurse Quinn and also in "Weight and See" episode of Power Rangers Turbo as Myrtle. She had a lead role in season 3 of Undressed as Roxy and of Helen in "The Virgin Episode" of Opposite Sex in 2000. In the next year, she performed in "Best of Enemies" episode of Once and Again as Kimberly in 2001. She performed as Tierney Eastway in the episode "Grievous Angels" of Haunted and in telefilm They Shoot Divas, Don't They? as Tara Quinn in 2002. In "Nexus" episode of For the People, she was Cissy Bunton in 2003. In 2005, she worked in "City of the Dolls" episode of CSI: NY as Virginia Felton and also appeared in made for TV film Cooked as Sydney. In 2008, she appeared in "Living the Dream" episode of House as Marie, in "Mr. Monk Falls in Love" episode of Monk as Amanda, she was Celine Lea in "Journey to the End of the Knight" episode of Knight Rider. She was Emma Collins in the episode "Cloudy with a Chance of Gettysburg" of Without a Trace. In 2010, she was Darcy Owens in the 'The Glades'. With the recurring role in True Blood as Maurella for 5 episodes. In 2012, she worked in Grimm as Megan Marston. She was Erica in the episode "Charlie and the Virgin" of Anger Management.

She started her film roles with a video short as Elizabeth Ann in Locoweed & Other Discoveries in 2000 also in the same year she worked in 100 Girls as Sasha. In the next year, she was Tami Johnson in Madison. In 2004, she appeared in a video Cruel Intentions 3 as Cassidy Merteuil. She was Brooke in Cursed and was Nicole in Self Medicated in 2005. In 2010, she appeared in Black Swan as Galina and also in a short film Verdict as Vanessa Thompson. In the following year, she performed Paige Stone in The Speak and as Jade in Cornered. She was Jessica in 5 Souls in 2013. In 2014, she worked in SEAL Patrol as Lisa Westbrook, Altergeist as Theresa, 4 as Cora. She was a Soap Opera Patient in the film Miss India America which was released in 2015. And her latest work is in the movie Two Faced and Kuleana as Angela and Rose Coyle.
