Joan Crawford started her career as a dancer. Her first movie was as the body double of the female lead Norma Shearer the movie was released in 1925 titled Lady of the Night, In her success journey, she did many small roles including The Circle, The Only Thing, The Merry Widow. Her first lead role landed to her after a lot of hard work and self-promotion titled "Sally, Irene, and Mary as Irene which intended to become her prominence role.
