60-year-old Dawn Frenc who is known for her writing on a comedy sketch show "French and Saunders" is an English actress, comedian, writer. She is born in Holyhead, Anglesey, Wales, the UK on 11 October 1957. She is also known for her lead role as Geraldine Granger in The Vicar of Dibley. Her school was St Dunstan's Abbey School and as his father served in Royal Air Force the organization partly funded her education. When her father transferred to R AF Faldingworth she changed her school to Caistor Grammar School in Caistor. She also won a debuting scholarship with this she can study at Spence School in New York.
Her father each day told her that she is very beautiful which boost her self- confidence, and self-belief. She broke her engagement with a former Royal Navy officer at the college time. In 1977, she attended the classes of Central School of Speech and Drama and there she met Jennifer Saunders. And they become comedy partner later on. At first, they disliked each other as French wanted to become a drama teacher while Saunder dislike the idea when they were working on a project in college they both were influenced by comedy and they become friends.

After graduation, they performed a double act called Menopause Sister. She has also written her autobiography in which she has titled herself as Dear Fatty which was best selling epistolary. In 1982 she debuted in 'Five goes mad with Dorset' which was an episode of Channel 4's 'The Comic strip presents' she had acted in 27 out of 37 episodes and also wrote two of them. In 1985 French and Saunder both starred in 'girls on top' as Tracey Ullman and Ruby Wax respectively the story is about four In 1987 in a comedy series 'French and Saunder' she had starred and also co-written with Saunder. In their performance, they make mimicry of Madonna, Cher, Catherine Zeta-Jones and the Spice Girls. She had also worked separately in Murder Most Horrid and every week she had a different character. She appeared In Ted and Alice which was a mini comedy series in 2002. In a series called Lake District, she was a tourist information officer and fall in love with an alien The Vicar of Dibley, was her most popular television role on BBC comedy. She was Rosy in Jam & Jerusalem. She worked in Agatha Christie's Marple in 2006 and in Lark Rise to Candleford in 2008.
