Career of Tom Atkins
He started his career by playing on both On-Broadways and Off-Broadways. His first screen role was in the film The Detective. He appeared in many films and television series before starring in ghost story The Fog which was released in 1980 and in science fiction thriller Escape from New York in 1981. He appeared in Halloween III: Season of the Witch. He performed the role of Detective Ray Cameron in the horror film Night of the Creeps. He also appeared in the film Lethal Weapon as Michael Hunsaker. He played the role of Lt. Alex Diehl in The Rockford Files and reprised his role in its sequel. His best performance in Pittsburgh theatre scene was in the one-man show The Chief. He has a supporting role in the remake My Bloody Valentine 3D as a retired sheriff.
