Robert Duvall is an American Filmmaker and actor. He has appeared in many movies like True Grit (1969), MASH (1970), Joe Kidd (1972), The Godfather (1972), Apocalypse Now (1979), Lonesome Dove (1989), Rambling Rose (1991) and so on. He starts doing the theatre in the late 1950s and moved to the television in early 1960s. He has done many famous characters in the movies like in movie MASH (1970) he played a role of Major Frank Burns, he appeared in a lead role in the movie 'THX 1138 (1971)'.

Robert Duvall was born on January 5, 1931, in San Diego, California and got the name, Robert Selden Duvall. His mother Mildred Virginia was an amateur actress and his father William Howard Duvall was a Virginia-born U.S. Navy admiral. He is the ancestry of English and also smaller parts of Belgian, French Huguenot, German, Welsh Scottish, and Swiss-German. He studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City in 1955 winters and was there for two years. He was born in the Christian Science religion and also believe it but does not go to church. He graduated from the Principia College in Elsah, Illinois in 1953.
Career of Robert Duvall
He started his professional career with Gateway Playhouse, an Equity summer theatre based in Bellport, Long Island, New York. For some time he leaves the acting and joins the army but later in 1955 summer season, he came back to Gateway. With the Armstrong Circle Theater in the episode 'The Jailbreak', he gave his first television appearance. His screen debut was in the movie 'To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)' in which he played a role of Boo Radley. After the success of movie he was in the notice and during the 1960s he appeared in many movies.
