Career of Parley Baer
He started his career in a circus as a ringmaster but left it to join United States Army Air Force. During The Second World War, he worked in the Pacific Theatre and earn seven service stars in spite of being a member of United States Army Air Force. He had also given his valuable service in Radio, Films, and television.

In the 1930s, He served as a director of special events at KSL. He performed in The Whistler and in Escape just after that. His voice was also heard in Suspense, Tales of the Texas Rangers (as various local sheriffs), Dragnet, The CBS Radio Workshop, Lux Radio Theater, The Six Shooter, and Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar and many more. In Gunsmoke, he played the character of Chester in 1952. He performed in various radio shows which includes situation comedy The Harold Peary Show, Rogers of the Gazette, The Adventures of Philip Marlowe and many more.

Films and television


He appeared in The Andy Griffith Show and gave a guest appearance in NBC's The Dennis Day Show in 1952 and also in Dragnet. In 1954, he appeared in The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show and The Loretta Young Show. He performed in Father Knows Best and The Bob Cummings Show in 1955 and appeared in Our Miss Brooks from 1952 to 1955. In Bus Stop he had a guest appearance in 1961. He appeared in the episode "Journey into Mourning" of ABC's crime drama Target: The Corruptors which was telecast on April 13, 1962. In the following year, he appeared in three-part episode "Security Risk" of GE True.
He was a sheriff in an episode of Mickey. He appeared in four episodes of Hogan's Heroes and eight episodes of Bewitched. He appeared in the episode "Fly Me to the Moon" of I Dream of Jeannie as General Whitfield in 1967. He guest appeared in Three on the Road, Three's Company (as a cooking competition judge), The San Pedro Beach Bums, The A-Team, Star Trek: Voyager, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Dukes of Hazzard, Night Court, Newhart, Little House on the Prairie, The Golden Girls, Hazel, and Mad About You.
