Omid Abtahi was born in Iran on 12 July 1979 but he is an American actor. His best role was Salim in showtime Sleeper Cell. He was born in Tehran, Iran but at the age of 5 his family shifted to Paris with him afterward they all moved to the United States, he had done his graduation from University High School and also attended California State University.

Abtahi has also performed on stage and theatrical production like Fraulein Else at the Berkeley Repertory McCarter Theatre and Long warf Theater; Adoration of The old woman at Sundance Theatre Lab before acting on television.
