Kirk Alyn was known as his first superman in movies from 1948 to 1950. He was born on October 8, 1910, and died on March 14, 1999. Kirk Alyn lived in Wharton, New Jersey.
Kirk played comic character Superman in 1948 in movie serial Superman, later in squeal Atom Man Vs Superman and black hawk in Blackhawk movie serial. In 1978, Superman: The Movie.

In 1942, he was married to an another actress and dancer Virginia O'Brien. He divorced her in 1955, Alyn had three children as two daughters and a son. After death, he was cremated and the ashes were scattered in the cost of California.
In early days of his film career, he performed as a chorus boy on entertainer in vaudeville and Broadway. After the Superman serial ended, he couldn't maintain his film career, so retired from Arizona.

Kirk started his career as a chorus boy in Broadway plays, also performed in some notable musicals as Of Thee I Sing, Hellzapoppin and Girl Crazy. In the 1930s he worked as a dancer and singer, in 1940s he started working in movies. In his early days, he was successful in low budget movies until his role of Superman.
Alyn stated Superman's character was only a publicity stunt because in reality there is not any such character. I was at 37 and in the movie, I had to pick up the girl and fight on stairs, but in real it was nothing.

Alyn was honored at Grand Marshal of the Annual Superman celebrations and Christmas parade. At the 50th anniversary of the publication 'Fifty Who Made DC Great'in 1985 Alyn was honored.
