He started appearing in films as a child actor. His early work includes films such as Brahmarshi Viswamitra, Ramayanam as well as television series such as Bhaktha Markandeya. He was the lead actor in the film "Ninnu Choodalani" but he rose to fame with his work in the film Student No.1. He played a starring role in the film "Rakhi." His work in the films like Jai Lava Kusa, Temper and Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava. However, his work in the film "RRR" earned him international recognition.
