American actor John Arledge was born in Crockett, Texas, U.S.on March 12, 1906, and died at a very small age of 41 in Hollywood, California, the U.S. on May 15, 1947. He had worked in both films and stage and is known for his supporting roles in Hollywood movies of the 1930s-1940s which includes The Grapes of Wrath, County Fair, Two in Revolt.

Career of John Arledge
In 1930, he has worked in King of Jazz as Johnson Arledge. His work was seen in Young Sinners, Daddy Long Legs, The Spider, Heartbreak in 1931 and in 1932 he has performed in After Tomorrow, Careless Lady, Huddle, Week Ends Only, Hell's Highway. In 1933, it was Olsen's Big Moment and Olsen's Big Moment. He had performed in three films in 1934 Coming-Out Party, Flirtation Walk, Bachelor of Arts. Six films in 1935 Devil Dogs of the Air, Mary Jane's Pa, The Farmer Takes a Wife, Old Man Rhythm, Shipmates Forever, We're Only Human. In 1936, he had performed in You May Be Next, Two in Revolt, Murder on a Bridle Path, Don't Turn 'Em Loose, The Big Game. Big City, County Fair, Saturday's Heroes were released in 1937. In 1938, he had performed in Prison Nurse, Numbered Woman, Campus Confessions. His performance was seen in You Can't Cheat an Honest Man, Twelve Crowded Hours,6,000 Enemies, he had performed an uncredited role as Dying Soldier in Gone with the Wind, and also worked in All Women Have Secrets and The Grapes of Wrath as Davis in 1939. Eight roles in 1940 and the name of films were The Fighting 69th, Strange Cargo, It's a Date, Ski Patrol, Flight Angels, City for Conquest, The Flag of Humanity, Arizona. In 1941, he has appeared in Cheers for Miss Bishop. And in his last year That's My Man, I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now, Dark Passage.
