About John Alvin
John Alvin known as American actor, who performed at stage, television and films. He performed in more than 25 films and a number of television and theater roles during his career span 1940 to 1990.
Early Life of John Alvin
John Alvin was born on October 24, 1917, in Chicago. His mother known as a professional Opera singer and father was a Surgeon. In 1939 he went to study at Pasadena Playhouse, where he met June Lewis who was his future wife. They married in 1947 and were together until death in 2009.
His son Tracy died in 1969, at the age of 21, due to the overdose of a drug.
Career of John Alvin
During World War II, he signed his first four contracts with Warner Brothers Studios. 20th Century Fox borrowed him for 1944s Oscar nominations, The Fighting Sullivans. In an interview in 2006, he gave credit to Grant, he had a great impact on him on his career.
He created posters through his Key art about 135 films. His art style known as Alvinesque by friends and colleagues, in the film industry.
