In 1940, he started his career under contract with Warner brothers. His best remembered role was father to the titular 'Dennis the Menace'. He gave his appearance in the episode of "The Brady Bunch" in 1969 and The Brady Bunch: Is There a Doctor in the House in the same year. His career's big break was in 1941. He got retirement from his career in 1982.
