The American actor was best known for his portrayals of Phil Fish and Salvatore Tessio in Barney Miller (Film 1972) and The Godfather (Sitcom 1975-77, 1982). He starts acting in his teenage by working at the American Theatre Wing. He started his career as a professional actor in 1949 on the television through a drama series titled Studio One. His first work in movies was unaccredited, the movie was Three Rooms in Manhattan (1965) and he played as a waiter in it. His acting credits include Home of Angels (film: 1994), Love Is All There Is (film: 1996), Witness to the Mob (film: 1998), Law & Order (TV series: 1996), Wings (Sitcom: 1996) and much more.
