Career of A.K. Hangal

He participated in many plays in undivided India but started his film career with the film "Teesri Kasam". He played important roles in the films like Aandhi, Tapasya, Kora Kagaz, Bawarchi, Guddi, and Naram Garam. His character Karim Chacha in the film "Sholay" is remembered until today. He also appeared in film Lagaan and Paheli in the later years of his life.
