Career of Ranveer Brar

He kickstarted his career by joining the kitchen of Taj Mahal Hotel just after completing his studies at IHM. Later on, he opened a seafood restaurant named "Morisco" in Aguada Beach Resort, Goa, an Italian restaurant named "Il Camino" and a barbeque eatery named Fishtail. He took the position of Corporate Chef for the One World Hospitality Group. Besides this, he also hosted several television shows like Health Bhi Taste Bhi, Ranveer's Café and Station Master's Tiffin. He also gained popularity on social media as well as digital series "Maa Ki Baat."

He used to go to gurudwara with his grandfather as a child. One day, when he was watching the langar preparation at the gurudwara's kitchen, he was asked to help a priest in making sweet rice. After that, he developed an interest in cooking.

Like many families in Punjab, he was also opposed by his family for his decision to become a chef. They wanted him to get some office jobs in medicine, engineering, or in defence services. He also appeared in the NDA exam, but his passion for cooking wouldn't let him adopt any other profession. At last, he was able to convince his parents who enrolled him in IIHM, Lucknow.
He was nicknamed "Langri" by his father due to his passion for cooking langars as a child.
Ranveer became executive chef at a five-star hotel when he was just 25 years old.
He added the author to his title by releasing his autobiography "Come Into My Kitchen." A recipe book titled "A Traditional Twist" is released by him in 2017.
