Career of Azim Premji

He joined his father business after the death of his father. The company was called Western Indian Vegetable Products at the time. The main product of the company was hydrogenated oil. After taking command of the company Premji modified the firm to bakery fats, ethnic ingredient based toiletries, baby toiletries, lighting products and more. After some time, he renamed the company as Wipro and started trading in the high-technology sector by manufacturing minicomputers through associating with an American company Sentinel Computer Corporation.
