About Radha Vallabh Mandir
Radha Vallabh Mandir is situated close to famous Banke Bihari temple on a cliff. The temple is dedicated to Radha and Lord Krishna. The idol of Lord Krishna is comparatively big, while Radha is situated in the pindi form. The scenario of the temple gives pleasure to the eyes especially during festivals like Holi, Diwali, Dussehra, Jhulan Utsav, Phool Banglas and Patotsava. The opening timings of morning in the temple is from 5:00 am to 12:00 pm, while evening opening hours are 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. No entry fee is charged to access the temple premises.

Radha Vallabh temple is located near Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan in an accessible location. You can easily reach the temple using any local means of transport.
Bus
After reaching Vrindavan bus stand or Mathura bus stand, you can take an auto-rickshaw or taxi, which will drop you close to the location.

Some Lesser Known Facts About Radha Vallabh Mandir

  • It is said that the deity of Radhavallabh was never made by any sculptor. It was given to Atmadev by Shiva himself due to his utmost devotion and prayers. Hith Harivansh Mahaprabhu who lived in Devavan for 31 years was ordered by Shri Radha to marry Atmadev’s daughters. On his marriage, Atmadev gifted the idol of Radhavallabh ji to his daughters and Harivansh Mahaprabhu.
  • The old Radha Vallabh Temple which is called Hith Mandir was constructed using Red Sandstone and also got grant from Mughal emperor Akbar. According to the folklore, King Maan Singh wanted to construct the temple but when he came to know about the legend that whoever construct this temple will die within a year, he moved back. Also, the legend come true and Sunderdas Bhatnagar who constructed the temple died soon after the completion of the temple.
  • The major festival celebrated in this temple are Hitotsav, Radhashtami, Krishna Janmashtami, Vyahlu Utsav, in addition to Holi, Diwali, Sharad Purnima and Jhulan Utsav.
