About Gopeshwar Mahadev Temple
Gopeshwar Mahadev is also an old temple situated close to Yamuna river in Vrindavan. According to the legend, once Lord Shiva came to Vrindavan disguising himself as Gopi to dance with Lord Krishna as he was not allowed to enter the Ras being a male. It is believed that Gopis themselves installed the Linga to worship him to get Krishna as their husband. There is no entry fee to access the temple premises. The morning opening timings in summer are 5:00 am to 12:00 pm while in winters in opens at 5:30 am and closes at 12:00 pm. The evening opening hours in summers are from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm, while in winters it closes half an hour before at 9:00 pm.

The temple is located at an accessible location close to Yamuna ghat in Vrindavan. You can reach the temple easily taking any of the available means of transport.
