Daat Kali Temple is also an important tourist attraction located in Dehradun. The temple is situated at the beautiful location on the mountains comes under the mound range. The temple can be visited while on a way to Saharanpur from Dehradun or vice versa, however a new route has made to avoid traffic for those who don’t want to visit the temple. - The temple was constructed in 1804 when the construction work on Dehradun-Saharanpur highway carried on. It is said that Goddess Kali herself came in the dream of Engineer who gave the idol to Mahant Sukhbir Gusain to found this temple.
- Even though atmosphere has now changed so much, but people of Dehradun still have faith in the Goddess. Many of them visit the temple whenever they buy any vehicle to perform a special Pooja in which they tie a black thread on the handle and pray to goddess to protect it from evil eyes and accidents. They believe that their vehicle will prove lucky for them if they get blessings from deity at Daat Kali.
