The Portuguese Synagogue is a Jewish worship house in the city of Amsterdam The architect Elias Bouman was responsible for the project. It is affiliated with Orthodox Judaism. It is still an active place of worship and attracts many tourists in the place. The Synagogue remains open from Monday to Thursday from 11 in the morning till five in the evening, while on Friday it closes an hour early at 4:00 pm, however, it remains closed on Saturday. The adult person has to pay 6.5 Euro, while the children from the age group of 13 -17 the ticket costs only 4 Euro and traveler carrying student card or museum card can purchase the entrance ticket is 5 Euro. You can easily arrive there using Metro 51,53,54 and tram line 9,14 where you have to aboard at Waterlooplein stop.
