About Point Mallard Aquatic Center, Decatur
Point Mallard Park is a popular amusement park situated in Decatur city of Alabama in the United States. It is located on the bank of Flink Creek covering an area of 500 acres. It is operated by the City of Decatur. The park remains open throughout the year while Aquatic Center is operated only in the summer months.
History
The park was created in 1970, however, its Aquatic Center was created between 1962 to 1968. It was named after the then-mayor of the city Gilmer Blackburn.
The opening timing in the 2021 season is Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. It remains closed the rest of the week. The ticket price for an adult is 20 USD, while for children between the age group of 5-11, Senior citizens over 62, and for Military personnel the amount is only 15 USD. Children below the age of 5 are free to enter the park.
