Plitvice Lakes National Park is a reserved area in Croatia. The park was established in 1949. It covers an area of more than 296-kilometer square. Most of its area falls under Lika-Senj County while the remaining is under Karlovac County. Over a million visitors are received by the park every year. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 1979. The park can be accessed from eight in the morning to four in the evening throughout the week.
