About The Skull Tower
The tower was constructed in the remembrance of the Serbian rebels who lost their lives at the time of Cegar Battle. The Skull tower was build with 952 human skulls with dimension 13 feet wide and 15 feet high with along 56 rows and used 17 skulls in each row.
Some Lesser Known Facts About The Skull Tower
- The battle of Cegar in the year 1809 was the first time voice raised against the Ottoman Empire by Serbian for their rights and freedom.
- The most amazing part is that one of the Serbian rebels named Stevan Sinđelić performed an act in stress he fired a bag full of gun powder which blasted all over and he with his armed force lost their lives.
- The Skull tower was constructed by the Turkish commander in anger to teach Serbian army a lesson. The whole tower was built to showcase their strength and to make people realize the power of their strength.

- After some time rebels? family started taking out skulls of their loved one from the tower to give them a proper funeral and respect ceremony so saying goodbye.
- In honour to prevent the tower let with only 58 skulls the authorities of Serbia built a chapel around a tower to mark it as a monument of bravery for the nation.
