The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum as the name suggests is an art museum located in the capital city Tokyo of Japan. It is funded by a prefectural government like several other museums of Japan. The building of the museum was built in 1975 and was designed by Japanese architect Kunio Maekawa. It is situated in Ueno Park. The museum opens at 9:30 in the morning while closes at 5:30 in the evening from Tuesday to Sunday. It remains closed on 1st and 3rd Monday.

Most of the area of the museum is accessible through a wheelchair. So you need not worry if a person in your group is wheelchair-bound. Wheelchair and Baby Strollers are available for lent free of cost. There are also a breastfeeding room and warm water for milk inside the museum.
