Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Museum is a popular place to show the ancient and contemporary artifacts of India. The museum was set up in the year 1984 under the guidance of Muni Punyavijayaji & Sheth Kasturbhai Lalbha. The museum has a record of welcoming huge travelers every year and also tops the list of most visiting places of Gujrat.
History
The construction of the building started in the year 1956. Most of the collection of the museum was filled by the L.D. Institute of Indology. The collection of the museum later began to grow and then the museum was shifted to the newly built structure to preserve the artifacts and objects. The museum is open to the public for six days of the week and shuts its door only on Mondays. There is no entry ticket to visit the museum. The timings to visit the museum are 10:30 AM - 05:30 PM

It is located under the area of the Institute of Indology Campus which is the center of the city and can be easily accessible through any means of transportation.
By Bus
If one is arriving by bus then he/she must drop off at the nearby bus stands/stop which is the Memnagar Tubevel stop, L.D. Engineering College BRTS stand, Nehru Nagar GSRT stand, Anita Maya stands. All these are located at a distance of 300 m - 2km away from the museum and can be routed via any public transport vehicle in 4-5 minutes.
By Train
The closest rail station near the museum is Chandlodiya Outer Cabin station, Sabarmati F Cabin, Sabarmati A Cabin, and Ahmedabad Junction. These stations are situated at an interval of 6-8 km away and can be covered within 15-20 minutes by renting a cab/taxi or any other public transport service.
By Air
One must land at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport which is 13.6 km away from the museum and can be reached in 28-30 minutes by hiring a cab/taxi or any public transport vehicle.
