Selamat Datang Monument is a popular monument located in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. It is also one of the historical landmarks of the area. The construction of the statue begins on the independence day of 1961 at the request of President Sukarno. It was completed in the following year. Henk Ngantung and Edhi Sunarso were the architects credited with designing the monument. It is a two-figure monument of five-meter length situated on a tall pole.

The monument is situated within a walking distance from the Bundaran HI MRT Station. MRT Train You have to get off at Bundaran HI MRT Station and move towards the south exit. After a two or three minutes walk, you can see the monument. Bus Buses to Bundaran HI station are also available from there you can easily see the tall monument.
