About Lake Palace of Udaipur

Lake Palace is situated in the Rajasthan, India. It is previously known as Jag NIwas and was a summer palace in past for the royal dynasty of Mewar. It was built in 1743 to 1746 by Maharana Jagat Singh II. The palace now turned into a luxury five star hotel is located in Lake Pichola. The site encompasses the area of approximately 4 acres.

In the ancient time, royal people used the palace as their summer resort and holding their darbars or noble court in the palace.
Black and white marbles have been used to build the walls of the palace.

After turning into a hotel it got its five stars rating in 1971 and also added more 75 rooms.
