The Bourbon Orleans is a historic hotel with tales of spirits and ghost haunting the halls. It is one of the most famous locations concerning the paranormal. In the city of New Orleans, Lousiana, prior to being the Bourbon Orleans, this site has been home to the historic Orleans Ballroom.

- The Bourbon Orleans is a breath-taking structure resting in the heart of the vibrant and beautiful French quarter. It has a long history which dates back to 1817, the year it was built as the Orleans ballroom by John Davis.
- Soon after, John Davis also built the Orleans Theatre. In the year 1881, the Orleans Ballroom along with the theatre was sold to the Sisters of the Holy Family. It was used as a convent, orphanage and school for about 80 years before it came to be the Bourbon Orleans.
- The hotel itself admits to being haunted and being a house to multiple entities that wander through the premises. There are almost as many as 17 ghosts. Most of them are children. The more frequently reported ghost is that of the confederate soldier, or "the man" as he is called, who is seen walking around in his bloody uniform, on the sixth and third floors.
- During the time it was still a convent, a yellow fever epidemic broke out that claimed the lives of many young children. Nuns would care for the vulnerable and weak children, but the disease being deadly, spread and killed many girls and boys. To this day, the spirit of these children can be felt. A girl is seen playing and chasing after ball in the corridor.
- The famous ballroom is a major attraction for paranormal activities. It is said that a lonely dancer is often seen in the grand ballroom. She can often be seen hiding behind the curtains, or dancing by herself.
- The hotel provides its own "haunted tour" every Thursday with a guide. The most scariest story is that of room 644. Legend has it that one of the nuns from the Holy Sisters committed suicide in this very room. The nuns never confirmed or denied this incident. It is reported that guests often wake up in the middle of the night and find the nun standing by their bed or across the room. She watches with an expression of kindness on her face.
- It is said that a bloodstain appears quite often on the carpeted floors. The staff will notice it and scrub it away. It is known that it will reappear quick enough. Rumor has it, over a century ago, two wealthy men fell for the same woman and decided to challenge a duel right in the middle of a party! While it is unclear if the duel proved fatal, blood was spilled regardless.
- The Theatre'd'Orleans was a significant Opera house during the 19th century. The performances were in French and premiered many french Operas in Amercia. Louis Rabary was the man who made the site plans.
