Ancient Ram Inn is a very old building situated in a market town, Stroud district of Gloucestershire county in England. The building was a former pub and in modern culture, it is said to be the most haunted hotel across the nation. It was built in the late 1100s for use as a house for workers and builders employed to build a neighboring church. The building is owned by several people since 1145 and it is presently owned by the oldest local church St. Mary?s Church.

Some Lesser Known Facts About Ancient Ram Inn

Before the custody of St. Mary's Church, the inn was in the private ownership of John Humphries until his death in late 2017.
The Ancient Inn has been investigated by several paranormal researchers; it has also been featured in popular TV shows like Ghost Adventures and Most Haunted. A paranormal study group of seven people based in the United Kingdom explored the inn and made a series on the inn which was published on the Great British Ghosts.
In 2003, the oldest paranormal research group The Ghost Club did not notice anything paranormal in the ancient inn.
Jockie and Jonna, the Swedish YouTubers also investigated the building for their ghost-hunt show.
It is now also known as the historical landmark in Wotton-under-Edge, England.
The lodged for the carpenters and stonemasons who constructed the Parish Church in the 13th century is still in the inn.
