About Cinco Saltos
Cinco Saltos is a city that is regularly gaining the attention of the believers in witches. The city is located in Río Negro, Argentina, and is in the valley of the Neuquén River close to the Pellegrini Lake. It is about 25 kilometers away from Allen while is just 20 Kilometers away from Neuquen. It had a total population of about 22790 according to the 2010 census. The annual La Picasa International Film Festival was also hosted here. The name of the city is derived from the five-level steps of the canal that passes by the eastern limit of the city. However, before this name, the city was known as La Picasa after the name of a horse Picaza who roamed in the area.
Some Lesser Known Facts About Cinco Saltos
- The place is designated as the City of Witches as well. According to some reports, several witchcraft activities are done here. There are various events of paranormal activities even UFO sightings are reported from here.
- In 2009, the body of the girl who died in the 1930s at the age of 8- to 12-year-old was found in a cemetery ossuary 2009. The body was chained and mummified and was barely decomposed. The locals believe that she was a part of some witchcraft rituals. After the incidents, many of the locals have sighted the ghost of the girl at the place.
- The area of Bajo Negro is known for black magic activities. The place receives very less or no sunlight all the years. According to some reports, large groups of people dressed in long black cloaks and engaged in strange behavior are often found here. However, there is no such proof as they don't allow them to photograph themselves.
- One more incident of the paranormal activities was of a baby who was drowned in Pelligrini Lake. Locals and visitors have heard the cries of a baby but it is not determined from where these voices are coming from. According to the locals, the baby has not found salvation and his soul is wandering in the area.
