About Gereja Sion
Sion Church is an old church situated in the Taman Sari district of Jakarta, Indonesia. It was founded in 1695 and is affiliated with Protestant Church in Western Indonesia. It covers an area of 6725 square meters. It is located inside a school named Sekolah Kristen Fajar Sion. The church building was designed by E. Ewout Verhagen from Rotterdam. The material used for the construction was bricks, which were pasted with sand and heatproof sugar.

The church is easily accessible with public transport. You can take the bus on routes number 1, 12, 12B, JAK10, and M53. Your bus will leave you at Pangeran Jayakarta 2 or at GANG Abdul Hamid or Jalan Jembatan Batu 1, all of which are located at 3 or 4-minute walking distance. If you get off at Kota bus station, it is also located at 6-minute walking distance. If you prefer a train ride then you can take the Central line or Bekasi line which leaves you at Jakarta Kota station and after the 8-minute walk, you will be at your destination.
