Aradale Mental Hospital as the name suggests was a psychiatric hospital in Victoria, Australia. The hospital was started in 1865 and was shut down in 1998. In 2001, the place was designated for the Melbourne Polytechnic. The building was designed by G. W. Vivian and John James Clark. The place is open for tourists only on Friday and Saturday from 6 to 11:55 pm and remains closed on other days of the week. Children below the age of 8 are not allowed to visit the place. For Standard Tour ticket price for an adult is 45 Australian Dollars while the children ranging from the age of 8-15 years have to pay 40 dollars. In an extended tour the price money for an adult is 80 dollars and for a child in 75 dollars.
