Jaafar rose to sudden media attention after the news of him playing the lead in Michael Jackson's biopic broke out. The biopic titled Michael will be directed by Antoine Fuqua. The news was confirmed after Fuqua posted about it on his Instagram.

How is Jaafar Jackson related to Michael Jackson? Jaafar Jackson is the nephew of Michael Jackson. He is the second-youngest son of Jermaine Jackson, singer-songwriter and brother of Michael Jackson. Jermaine Jackson was noted for being a member of the Jackson 5.

Jaafar is into singing and dancing since he was 12. He has covered various big artists including Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye, on top of his own original songs. And when he got the opportunity to play the part of Michael Jackson in the pop star’s upcoming biopic, he was on top of the world.

The late pop star's mother Katherine Jackson is also delighted by the fact that her grandson is playing her son on screen. She stated, "Jaafar embodies my son. It's so wonderful to see him carry on the Jackson legacy of entertainers and performers".

Michael Jackson's Biopic
The biopic is directed by Antoine Fuqua, written by John Logan, and produced by Graham King. It is being made with the cooperation of the Michael Jackson estate, and it will more likely influence how the singer's life is depicted on the silver screen. It is yet to be determined whether or not the film will glance upon any of the allegations of child sexual abuse that were made against MJ.
