Where on one hand, in Kapadia Mansion, MaAn are shown a matured understanding couple, while on the hand, there are Kavya and
Vanraj in Shah House. Vanraj and Kavya involved in extra-marrital affair, cheating
Anupamaa when she was still Vanraj’s wife. Later on, Anupamaa divorces Vanraj so that he could live happily with Kavya and moved on.
Eventually, she was in marriage to her old friend,
Anuj Kapadia who returned from the United States after twenty-five years establishing himself as a business tycoon. In the Shah house, Kavya ask Vanraj to talk with her politely as he is behaving rudely with her and doesn’t care for her despite the fact she is pregnant. To which, Vanraj replies that she should not put pressure on him as it is not his child. Vanraj tells Kavya that he will do everything for her, but can’t accept this child. He also tells Kavya that he thought about the matter a lot while in rehab but still his mind is not ready to accept this child.
In concern of Dimpy’s child, he says that Dimpy is pregnant with Samar’s child and carries Shah’s bloodline while Kavya’s child belongs to anyone else. This makes Kavya devasted.
Vanraj also warns Anupamaa to keep a distance with Shah House. They will call if there is any need, otherwise he and Shah family should take care of their daughter-in-law and the coming baby. Also, Kavya and Anupamaa talk about the change in Vanraj's behavior, for which Anupamaa tells her that Mr. Shah is living in guilt for not being close to Shah family at the time they need him the most.
