Twice is a popular South Korean girl group known for its single like Cheer Up, Signal, and Likey. The group debuted on October 20, 2015 with its EP titled “The Story Begins.” It was created by JYP Entertainment under reality show “Sixteen.” The group is also popular in Japan like it is in South Korea and its album #Twice peaked at number two on the Oricon Albums Chart. The music video of the group’s first single “Like Ooh Ahh” crossed 50 million views on YouTube just five months of its release.

Nayeon became a trainee at JYP Entertaining after passing an open audition in 2010. She was slated to become a part of the group 6mix which never debuted. Finally, she became a member of Twice following her participation in the reality show “Sixteen.” She is also the first South Korean soloist to enter top 10 of the billboard chart when her EP “Im Nayeon” reached at number 7 on the US Billboard 200.

Some surprising facts about the Group
- The group originally had seven members, Momo and Tzuyu were added later on. Tzuyu was selected on the basis of audience voting while Momo was brought back due to poll feedback and her performance abilities.
- Twice has some of the most disliked music videos in K-Pop and the most disliked music videos of any K-pop girl group.
- Four of the group members, Nayeon, Jihyo, Jeongyeon and Sana were set to debut in 2014 with the group named Sixmix but the plan was cancelled and all the four girls had to participate in “Sixteen” after which Twice was formed.
- Tzuyu is also a playable character. You can play with the Tzuyu video game character which shows some good skateboarding action.
- The group was formed as a result of some failed plans, when some of the groups formed by JYP broke before debuting. The trainees had to wait after which Twice was formed to make them show their talent.
- Many of the faces like Chaeyoung, Jeongyeon, Nayeon, Dahyun and Tzuyu were seen in the music videos before they debuted as a member of Twice.
- A question about the group posted by a netizen was featured in one of the exams. It also contains a photograph of Dahyun dressed in a bunny costume.
