Laila Majnu, which was produced by Imtiaz Ali, has made a comeback after being pulled from theaters on Independence Day because of the three-way competition between Vedaa, Khel Khel Mein, and Stree 2. After earning Rs 4.20 crore in its first week (6 days) at the box office, the Avinash Tiwary and Triptii Dimri film was pulled from theaters on August 15 and then reopened on August 16 in response to public demand.

The romance drama opened with 40 performances on Friday, grossing Rs 5.00 Lakh. On Saturday and Sunday, it increased to 170 shows, grossing Rs 20 Lakh. The movie ran during the weekdays as well, grossing Rs 70 Lakh from Monday through Thursday, bringing the total for the second week to Rs 1.15 crore. This Sajid Ali-directed film has made Rs 5.35 crore in its first 13 days of sales. The third week will see a significant increase in showings because of strong audience demand.

The movie is having an incredible run, with high occupancy rates across all multiplex chains, and it doesn't seem like it will end anytime soon. Due to its limited distribution until September 27, it will have a longer run. Who knows, maybe by the conclusion of its run, this will be one of the rare movies that turns its negative review from a disaster to a success.
