With Valentine's around the corner, romance is in the air! What could be better than a romantic movie with your boo? To take it up a notch we are here with a list of a few of our favorite Oscar-winning romantic films to watch. As the Oscars approach soon, we thought of giving you this small treat that'll make you want to turn to that someone special and say, "I love you."
1. La la land
With the stars, Ryan Gosling, and Emma Stone, the movie came out in 2016. It revolves around a pianist and an actress who meet while navigating their careers in Los Angeles. Both fall in love while attempting to reconcile their aspirations for the future.

2. The Shape of Water
The movie was released in 2017 and stars Sally Hawkins, Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins, and Doug Jones. The story is set in 1962 and revolves around a high-security government laboratory. Where a custodian method an exceptional relationship with an amphibious creature that is being captive in the facility.

3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, the film landed on the market in 2004. With a supporting cast of remarkable actors including Kirsten Dunst, Mark Ruffalo, Elijah Wood, and Tom Wilkinson, the film went on to be regarded as one of the best films of the 2000s. It showcases the story of a couple who are having trouble with their relationship. As their bond turns sour, they decide to go through a medical procedure to have each other removed from their memories forever.

4. Lost in Translation
The film was released in 2003 with lead characters played by Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson. Murray is seen as a faded movie star and Johansson as a neglected young woman. The story revolves around the two after they both form an unlikely bond after crossing paths in Tokyo.

5. As Good as It Gets
Released in 1997, the main leads include Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt, Greg Kinnear, and Cuba Gooding Jr. The story incorporates a single mother and waitress, a misanthropic author, and a gay artist who form an unlikely friendship bond after the artist is assaulted in a robbery.

The storyline revolves around Theodore Twombly, an introverted writer. He purchases an Artificial Intelligence system to assist him in writing. However, when he finds out about the AI's ability to learn and adapt, he falls in love with it. The film was released in 2013 with the main cast including Joaquin Phoenix as Theodore Twombly and Scarlett Johansson as Samantha (voice). Other actors including Amy Adams Rooney Mara, Olivia Wilde, and Chris Pratt are seen in supporting roles.

7. Birdman
The film was released in 2014 starring Michael Keaton. The story is of a fading cinema star, Riggan Thomson played by Keaton. Thomson plans to resurrect his career with a passionate Broadway production, but things change for him as during rehearsals, his co-star gets injured and he is forced to hire a new actor.

8. The Hours
Starring Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, and Nicole Kidman, 2002 released the movie is based on the novel The Hours by Michael Cunningham. It shows the story of three women of different generations. Writer Virginia Woolf's novel "Mrs. Dalloway" interconnects their stories together. Laura Brown and Clarissa Vaughan along with Virginia find solace in the novel and read it to get away from their monotonous life.

9. American Beauty
Released in 1999, the movie incorporates actors Kevin Spacey, Annette Bening, Mena Suvari, and Thora Birch as leading characters. Kevin Spacey stars as Lester Burnham, whose life seems perfect with a respectable job and a family. However, inside, he is slowly slipping into depression. While he is struggling to manage his life, he gets smitten with his daughter's friend, Angela (played by Mena Suvari).

10. Good Will Hunting
Written by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, the movie is starred by Robin Williams, Damon, Affleck, Stellan Skarsgard. and Minnie Driver. Will Hunting, a genius in mathematics, solves all the difficult mathematical problems. When he faces an emotional crisis, he takes help from psychiatrist Dr. Sean Maguireto, who helps him recover.
