Taj Mahotsav 2023: Date, Timing and Ticket Price

The annual 10-day celebration, Taj Mahotsav, is going to be held from 18 to 27 February 2023. The festival is celebrated with the aim to support and promote Indian art and craft among foreign tourists. The Inspiration for celebrating this came from the old Mughal era and Nawabi style prevalent in Uttar Pradesh.

A nominal ticket of INR 50 is charged for an adult, while a child below the age of five is free. The authority do not charge any money from foreign tourists. Also, if the visitors are a group of school children, then a fee of Rs 500 allows a hundred children in school uniform alongside two teachers for free with the group.
It is the best way to explore Indian culture and try authentic cuisines from various Indian states. Artists from various Indian states come here to display their work and promote their culture. The whole event is organized by Taj Mahotsav Samiti which includes the Commissioner and District Magistrate of Agra Division.

Taj Mahotsav provides you with wood/stone carvings of Tamil Nadu, Pottery from Khurja, silk and zari work of Banaras, brass wares from Moradabad, Paper mash work from South India, and other art and craft work under one roof. The best part of it is that all the art and craft things are available here at reasonable prices.
You can also admire the performances of a number of a folk and classical dancer, which will give a festival-like feeling. The beat of the drums with dances from several regions excites the visitors.

If you are a food lover then you are at the right place. The Mahotsav welcomes you with a variety of Indian cuisines. Here you can taste Dosa or Idli from South Indian thali or can enjoy spicy Punjabi food from North India. You can also fall in the taste of a variety of Indian desserts.
Don’t get worried about the children as Mahotsav also provides numerous rides like Train-rides, merry-go-round, and Ferris wheel for toddlers while the teenagers can enjoy thrilling roller coasters and other fun rides.
