Stree 2 becomes highest grossing Hindi Film of 2024 in 5 days

In just five days, the horror comedy starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, titled Stree 2, became the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024. The movie surpassed the current record holder, Fighter (Rs 201.50 crore), and joined the Rs 200 crore club with its Monday AM showings after grossing Rs 193 crore over its four-day extended weekend. After exceeding Kalki 2898 AD's box office receipts of Rs. 281 crore, the movie has emerged as the highest-grossing film of 2024 in the Hindi film industry and is poised to become the highest-grossing Hindi-language film of the year as well.
With occupancy greater than on Friday, Stree 2's Monday morning showings got off to a great start. On the fifth day, the movie is predicted to bring in an additional Rs 30 crore to Rs 32 crore, bringing its total earnings to roughly Rs 220 crore. Stree 2's first week earnings are expected to be close to Rs 275 crore, after which it will depend on how well it does.
Until and until Singham Again delivers a nice surprise upon its release on the Diwali 2024 weekend, the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao film is expected to be the highest-grossing film of the year with collections in the north of Rs 450 crore in Hindi.
Singham Again might have had a shot with a solo release, but when the stakes are so high, it's best to wait and see. Right now, Stree 2 appears to have a good chance of being the highest grossing Hindi film of the year.
With a regulated budget of approximately Rs 120 crore (including print and publicity), Maddock and Jio Studios can expect a huge return on their investment. Overall, the movie is a historic smash that only demonstrates the potential of the Hindi Box Office with the correct production values.
Producer Dinesh Vijan, who has four consecutively profitable films under his belt (Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Munjya, and Stree), is continuing his golden run at the box office with Stree 2. His next release is Chhaava.
