Following Vinesh Phogat disqualification just before the final match of wrestling, all eyes were on Neeraj Chopra that he would bring a Gold medal for India. Before that, Chopra has earned a gold medal in Tokyo Olympics in 2021 which made him the first Asian to win a gold medal in javelin. He also won gold in Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and in World Athletics Championship.

Once again, the athlete was sent to represent the country in Paris Olympics 2024. All Indians were waiting for the gold medal again. When Chopra was selected for the final, many Indians watched the match live to support the champion. But this time his throw was 89.45 m while the Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem won the gold with a throw of 92.97 meters, making Chopra second. Following his win, he became the first-ever Pakistani to win an individual gold medal. He filled a 32 years drought for winning a gold medal in Olympics for his home country.

In conclusion, Neeraj didn't perform bad, in fact he has thrown the Javelin two meters beyond his past record. In Tokyo Olympics he had thrown the javelin at a distance of 87.58 meters while this time his throw was 89.45 meters but not lucky this time as Pakistani athlete broke Olympics record with a 92.97 meters throw. And Indians have to satisfy with a silver medal this time. The champion is warmly welcomed and celebration in his home has started as he brought the first silver medal in Paris Olympics for India. Neeraj's mother referred Arshad as her son and also on the other hand Arshad's mother said that she also prayed for Neeraj. Maybe this harmony and feeling in these mother brings both the nation closer and fill the gap with constant hate among Indians and Pakistanis. Both the athletes shares a bond of friendship and just like brothers. This is the good sportsmanship, where Neeraj invited Arshad to share the Indian flag when he found that he is missing his own Pakistani flag. Sports always bring people together and no matter whether the person belongs to neighboring country which do not share good political relations. Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, who was present at the time of the event, congratulated the champion Neeraj Chopra.
