It has ruins of 410 buildings that used to be the homes of people who used to live in the area. Now the monument is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India.

History
There are several estimates that why the village was abundant. One of the possible reasons was the lack of water. The wells were dried up, also the river close to the location was dried, thus forcing the residents to move for a better option.
According to the local legend, the minister of the place named Salim Singh (or Zalim Singh) was very cruel who laid excessive taxes on the residents which lead them to move for the good.

There is also a popular story about the village and Salim Singh. It is said that he had the eye of the daughter of the village head and wanted to marry her. He also threatened the villagers that they will bear consequences if they opposed his decision. But the villagers decided to leave their homes instead of submitting. It is also believed that they cursed the village and will not be settled after the incident. Even now the village is abundant and if anyone tries to stay here overnight some paranormal force chases them away.
Many visitors suffered a feeling of sadness while visiting the place, though there is no spooky incident shared by any traveler.
