Katha Ankahee is a popular Indian television series running on Sony Entertainment television since 5 December 2022. It is a Hindi remake of Turkish show “One Thousand and One Nights.” The show is produced by Sunjoy Waddhwa and is getting huge response. It can also be seen on Sony’s digital platform, SonyLIV.
Plot
The story moves around a single mother,
Katha Singh. Katha is struggling to arrange money for the medical expensed of her only child, Aarav who was diagnosed with a severe case of blood cancer. She found no help from her in-laws and any other in her known.
On the other side, male lead of the show,
Viaan Raghuvanshi, who is a successful architect and Katha’s boss. Viaan had a bad impression for women in his mind due to a woman for whom his father left his mother, Teji. He considers all the women as gold diggers.
When Katha asked for financial assistance from her boss, Viaan, he agrees to give her money but put a condition to spend one night with him in return. Aarav's treatment was successful, but Katha’s couldn’t forget that Viaan has taken advantage of her situation.
Later on, Katha’s father-in-law, Kailash reconcile with Katha realising his past mistake. Though everything was starting moving swiftly, Reet who is other daughter-in-law of Kailash started hating Katha and doesn’t like renewed bond.
Meanwhile, Viaan and Aarav develops a bond of friendship with each other, unaware of their true identity. Aarav calls Viaan, Robin while Viaan knows the name of his friend as Batman. As time passed, Katha and Viaan starts developing feeling for each other though there is some bitterness in Katha’s heart due to condition he had put for financial assistance.
Reet being jealous of Katha started putting seed of doubt in the mind of Viaan’s mother, Teji so that Viaan and Katha’s relationship will not get success. Amidst all these, a girl named Vanya joins Viaan’s office. Later on, she turned out as daughter of Seema Datta who was the lady for whom his father abandoned him and his mother. The revelation shook Viaan, but later on he accepts her as his long-lost sister after knowing the truth behind her identity. This makes Katha more close to Viaan and their bond grew stronger. Both of them eventually accepts their love for each other. When Aarav came to know that Robin is Viaan, he became overjoyed and accepts him in Katha’s life.
Just before Katha and Viaan's marriage, Viaan is hospitalized after being beaten by Yuvraj. Though Yuvraj was happy with Katha and Viaan's marriage but when he comes to know about the past he filled with anger and beat him badly for taking advantage of Katha. Also, Kailash came to know about Katha's secret. He filled with anger and tries to shoot Viaan. In the rage, Kailash himself gets shot. Katha end her relationship with Viaan.
A leap of eight months is shown in the show, where Katha is fulfilling all the responsibilities and taking care of Aarav who is suffering from mental health problem when Ehsaan informs her that Viaan would be released from jail soon. Viaan tries to contact Katha but Katha decides to marry Aarav's doctor, Dr. Raghav Sehgal Viaan doesn't loose hope and tries to get back his love. Raghav became a good friend of Viaan and requests Viaan to be best man at his marriage. On Diwali, Katha meets Viaan and he begs her to give one chance to prove himself at the same time Raghav comes and see Viaan and Katha hugging each other.
Ehsaan came to Katha telling her Viaan is injured, Katha couldn't control her emotions and went to see him. There she finds that Viaan is completely alright. At the same time, Raghav comes with a box in his hand. The box contains two rings with which Viaan proposes Katha and she says "Yes." And the story of KaViaan came to a happy ending.

Katha Singh Garewal. Aditi is a quite versatile actress and showed her talent in the television series like Gangaa, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, as well as Punjabi film, Angrej. She also did several commercials promoting brands like Moov, Tata Sky and Dabur Honey before joining the show as lead.
