Pankaj Tripathi has proved himself a quite versatile actor whether talking of Pandit in Fukrey film series or Paplu Yadav in the Bollywood film Chintu Ji, he has gained a lot of audience applaud.
Recently, the film “Kadak Singh” starring him as AK Shrivastav alias Kadak Singh has released in which he was a patient of amnesia. The film is a mystery and unfolds slowly when characters tell their side of the story. Tripathi plays the character of an officer who was investigating about a chit-fund scam case. At the beginning, he finds himself in a hospital bed and forgot about everything how he came to this situation and why is being treated. He was nicknamed as Kadak Singh by his children as he was very strict towards them but after the accident he became very friendly to them. He had to find out about a suicide by his close colleague, but couldn’t remember that it was a murder or suicide?
The film got mixed reviews as it fails to present the situation on screen. The narrative feels overstuffed. Almost forty minutes of the film went on understanding what’s going on in the film if one is not aware that it is a suspense thriller. The acting skills of Pankaj Tripathi and Parvathy still got good reviews. Sanjana Sanghi pulled off her role in some of the scenes but seems listless in others.
The story becomes interesting when all the dots gets connected and Kadak Singh able to solve the mystery of the suicide. Overall, the film got good rating and is a recommended to watch over the weekend.

Pankaj Tripathi
Tripathi is playing the title character in the film. He ventured into the entertainment industry with small uncredited roles in the films like Run, Apaharan, and Omkara. He gained fame with his appearance in the film "Gangs of Wasseypur." He played the character Vardha Bhai in the film "ABCD: Any Body Can Dance." He also worked in the film "Angrezi Medium" appearing as Tony. Some of his other acting credits are Shakeela, Bachchan Pandey, OMG-2, Ludo, and Kaagaz.
