After leaving the Kapadia Mansion, Anupamaa started a YouTube named "JoshiBen Ki Rasoi" where she started uploading food recipe and became a popular food blogger. She didn't show her face in any of her video but still Manish Goenka was able to recognize her with the bracelet she wore.
Her friend who was in contact with Bapu ji came to her that she deserve a happy life. Why she is living without contacting anyone all alone in a small house. She showed her a mirror that she is ruining her life. She handled her a ticket to America with work permit. Anupamaa is now all set to fly for America and to start her new journey.
A new promo is also released where Anupamaa went to the United States and when she was asking for an address her luggage was stolen by a person. She went out of money when she was looking inside a restaurant being hungry, the restaurant owner calls her and gave her food. Following the incident, Anupamaa started working in that restaurant, but maybe she lost her memory or something she picked phone in the restaurant where Anuj has called for an order, but she gave the phone to another girl and started working. The coming episode will open the mystery that how Anupamaa will recognize Anuj Kapadia as most of the people were calling him AJ, and he has also changed Choti Anu name to Aadya. As Choti hated Anupamaa so much that she even don't want to be called with this name which remind her of Anupamaa. The character of grown-up Choti is played by
Aurra Bhatnagar. Anupamaa even not recognize Anuj when the telecast of his ramp walk was shown on the television of her restaurant.
Anuj is now engaged to Shruti but still love Anupamaa. Anupamaa meets Shruti when she went to the same restuarant where Anu works. Also there luggage exchanged and they became very good freinds. When Choti saw Anu in the United States, she gets upset reminding all the past days. In a party organized at the restaurant where Anupamaa works, Shruti requested Anupamaa to dance and Anu started dancing forgetting all her pains but at the same time, Aadya saw Anupamaa and gets a panic attack. The restaurant owner fires Anu as health condition of the guest deterioted due to her. But her collegues who were attached to her try to help as they could which shows Anupamaa good deeds.
When Anupamaa started dancing on the request of Shruti, Aadya remembered all her childhood fears and gets a panic attack. For this Anupamaa was fired from the restaurant. Anuj and Shruti decides to get married but at the same time, he met Anupamaa and asked why she didn't gave him a second chance?
Though Yashpal had fired Anupamaa but his mother bring her back to the restaurant. Anuj saw her in a cab but met an accident while trying to chase her. Anupamaa went to Yashpal’s home on the occasion of lohri and met Yashpal’s younger brother Yashdeep(played by
Vaquar Shaikh ). A fire caught in the Spice and Chutney restaurant where Anupamaa faints and Yashdeep saves her. He brought her home to stay there until the repair of the restaurant and it opens again. It looks like Yashdeep fell for Anupamaa but Anupamaa respects him as a boss. Also, Anuj met Anupamaa, but she refuses to go back as Aadya still hates her. Fans are in confusion that whether Anupamaa will reunite with Anuj or she move forward and accept Yashdeep love. Meanwhile, Shruti's parents died in a plane crash. On the other side, Vanraj and his family entered in her life.

Due to persuasion of Yashdeep, Kavya, Kinjal and other people who always think of Anupamaa's good, she participated in a cooking competition and emerged as a winner. When she was announced as a winner of Superstar Chef, everyone was excited. Anuj welcomed her with mongra flower. Also, Anupamaa was so excited that she hugged Anuj, which was not liked by Shruti and Aadya.
Shruti plans to ruin Anupamaa's career by conspiring with another restaurant owner and a worker who puts a cockroach in the dish of a food critic which was made by Anupamaa. As a result, the trophy was taken back from Anupamaa. Shruti planned it so that Anupamaa will return to India and she could marry Anuj without any problem. But at the time of Dimpy's marriage, Anupamaa and Yashdeep came to know about her conspiracy. Anupamaa decides not to tell anything to Anuj but he hears all the conversation and as a result, brokes his engagement with Shruti.
Shruti returned to America playing some emotional drama in front of Aadya so that Aadya would not let Anuj and Anupamaa reconcile. Aadya tries to make Anuj go back to Shruti. Meanwhile, Anupamaa's trophy was also given back to her. But life is not as easy as it seems.
Aadya threatens Anupamaa that she will commit suicide if Anupamaa continues her relationship with Anuj. As a result, Anupamaa asked Anuj to leave her and go back to America with Aadya.
A new promo is shown in which Anupamaa is shown working in an old-age home while Anuj has a long beard. What happened to him is still a mystery but MaAn shippers will be disappointed once again as they would not meet in the upcoming episodes.
