Viewer's Reviews for Lady Colin Campbell

I've watched Lady Colin Campbell on television for a number of years, wondering if she was really as bitter in real life as she comes across on tv segments. After reading about her birth anomalie and the complications it caused her during childhood and adolescence, I can only imagine the obstacles, hardships, and difficult decisions she must have faced. It's such a shame that her parents couldn't see past the physical appearance of their child and provide her with the support system she so much needed and deserved to have as a child; the support system that (fortunately) her grandmother provided for her. Hopefully, she had other family members and friends that she could turn to for support when she felt she needed someone. I will no loner think of her as a bitter woman, but a as a survivor! Those who did emerge as survivors during that particular period in time that scrutinized and chastised those who didn't conform to a certain type of "sanitized and generalized" public image, are to be commended for their bravery! Kudos to Lady Colin Campbell and especially to her grandmother!

I have recently become aware of Lady Colin Campbell. Retiring from work after 13 years as a paraeducator in the High School Autism Program in the state of Maryland (USA), I now have some time and energy to delve into interesting subjects. Before that I was an Orthodox Nun in Jerusalem monastery and later in a monastery in Georgia (USA) I felt the need for a complete change from some of the meanness and prejudice I found in the religious life. All of this said I am very pleased to know of the courage and right-thinking of Lady Colin Campbell. She is a breath of fresh air. Knowing the difficulties of her life, she has proven that one can overcome life's circumstances and even thrive with determination to do so. She is a great lady and I am pleased to know about her. By the way, we were both born in 1949, she on August 17 and I on April 13. I pray that God continues to bless this precious soul and continues to bless her two sons.
