She started her career in 1999 and began with small roles in television series like The Parkers. She gained massive popularity due to her appearance in the reality show "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" in which she appeared for seven seasons and a supporting role in season 8. Her first Broadway appearance was as Madame in "Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella." She appeared as the Mistress of Sensuality in the show "Cirque du Soleil: Zumanity."
